| Background Information | Cymdeithas yr Iaith Gymraeg (the Welsh Language Society) campaigns for the greater use and recognition of the Welsh language. The Society has in the past been associated with high profile non-violent direct action campaigning, such as the disruption of Prince Charles' investiture as Prince of Wales in 1969.
