| Background Information | The End Child Poverty campaign was formed against the backdrop of Tony Blair's pledge to end child poverty by 2020, in order to: hold government to this pledge; evolve an agreed standard to measure child poverty; and capacity build in society and promote policies in order to facilitate the pledge's fulfilment. The campaign was formed by 12 leading children's charities, and now has more than 75 member organisations.
