| Background Information | FASSIT, the Families Anti-Social Services Inquiry Team, are a pressure group seeking to rein in the influence of local authority social services over families. As well as highlighting perceived abuses of power by social services, FASSIT promotes a reform programme, including the abolition of both secrecy in the United Kingdom's family courts, and of emotional abuse as a reason for taking children into care.
