| Background Information | Catholic Concern for Animals (CCA) is a small animal protection charity (no. 231022), which uses Catholic theology as a framework for promoting animal welfare in wider society. In 2003, CCA established the Association of Christian Animal Welfare Societies (ACAWS), along with the Anglican Society for the Welfare of Animals (ASWA), and Quaker Concern for Animals (QCA). The current name was adopted in 2003.
