| Background Information | The National Association of Round Tables of Great Britain and Ireland is the umbrella body for local Round Table clubs, fora for men aged 18-45 to socialise and play a role in their local community. The movement was established in Norwich by Louis Marchesi, a Rotarian seeking a forum for the area's younger businessmen. The Rotary movement, associations of active or retired business people and professionals, formed to undertake community service, was first established by Chicago lawyer Paul Harris in 1905.
