| Background Information | The Lord's Day Observance Society (LDOS) campaigns from a Christian perspective against the commercialisation and secularisation of Sundays. It has previously worked alongside the Keep Sunday Special Campaign to oppose the liberalisation of Sunday trading laws.
LDOS has now been incorporated into Day One, a Christian ministry organisation and publisher. In 1920 the Society united with the Working Men's Lord's Day Rest Association, with the Lord's Day Observance Association of Scotland in 1953 and finally with the Imperial Alliance for the Defence of Sunday in 1965.
