| Background Information | The Jewish Labour Movement is an affiliated organisation of the British Labour party, seeking support for Zionism within the party, campaigning in favour of Jewish people and culture around the world, and combating antisemitism and racism. The Movement also supports democratic socialism more generally, in both Britain and Israel. The current organisation was formed in 2004, but as the successor body to Poale Zion, it has a long history, having been established both internationally and in Britain in the early 1900s, and having been a Labour affiliate since 1920.
