| Background Information | Rotary International in Great Britain and Ireland (RIBI) is the umbrella body for local Rotary clubs, associations of active or retired business people and professionals, formed to undertake community service. The Rotary movement was first established by Chicago lawyer Paul Harris in 1905, and now has 1.2 million members worldwide, with more in 58,000 in Britain and Ireland.
