| Background Information | A charity (no. 1018643) campaigning for and facilitating healthier food produced in a sustainable manner, Sustain lobbies policy-makers and conducts research into the food production system, as well as helping members and other bodies work together to deliver sustainability.
Sustain has a diverse membership, including Christian Aid, the British Dental Association, and the National Farmers Union.
Sustain was formed through the merger of the National Food Alliance, and the Sustainable Agriculture, Food and Environment (SAFE) Alliance, which had been formed in 1991.
