| Background Information | Describing itself as "an association of libertarians, classical liberals and others who seek to promote responsible individual freedom", the Society for Individual Freedom (SIF) is a campaigning organisation, seeking greater personal, economic and social freedom. SIF was formed through the 1942 merger of the Society of Individualists, and the National League for Freedom. It went onto establish the Civic Education and Research Trust (CERT) in 1972. Since 2002, SIF has also incorporated Choice in Personal Safety (CIPS). Source: www.individualist.org.uk |
