The Trust undertakes training and public education, consultancy, and campaigning work, in order to raise public awareness of personal safety issues. The Trust was established by Paul and Diana Lamplugh, following the disappearance and presumed murder of their daughter, Suzy. It also now undertakes the work of Milly's Fund, a charity established to promote personal safety amongst children and young people, launched in 2002 by the family of Milly Dowler, who was kidnapped and murdered earlier that year.
