| Background Information | Together is a major charity providing care and support for those with mental health needs. Its wide range of services includes community support, residential care, advocacy and training programmes. In addition, Together campaigns and lobbies to improve the standard of mental health care, and to combat discrimination. Together was founded by asylum chaplain Rev Henry Hawkins, in order to support patients on their return to the community, and thereby became a pioneer of the residential care model.
