CHANGE was founded by Georgina Ashworth in 1979 and aims to educate and alert public opinion to the inequalities imposed on women through law, practice and custom. It encourages an international exchange of information on remedies to disadvantage, and strategies for overcoming obstacles to women's full participation in each nation's development. It advances the recongition of human rights and dignity and to publicise their abuse, whether by state, commercial interest, or individual.
