| Background Information | Castewatch UK is a small charity seeking to combat caste discrimination amongst Britain's Indian Diaspora. Established in the wake of the 2003 broadcast of Caste Divide in Great Britain, on BBC Radio 4, Castewatch was formed as a result of the coming-together of existing campaigns and campaigners, including Voice of Dalit International. The charity principally concerns itself with lobbying government and Parliament and raising public awareness of the problem of caste discrimination, as well as monitoring the problem's existence and supporting victims.
