| Background Information | Homes for Homeless People (HHP) is a charity that describes itself as seeking to provide "accurate, high quality information in an accessible format in order to enable homeless people to access the services most appropriate to their needs." The charity was formed as the National Cyrenians, when Michael O'Loughlink split away from the Simon Community, and acted as an umbrella body for existing Cyrenian and Simon Community projects, with the goal of building up the training, communication, networks and information available in the homelessness sector. The current name was adopted in 1986. Charity no. 261712, company no. 989855. Sources: www.homeline.dircon.co.uk (website down as of April 2009); Archive Hub |
