Established by Sir Richard Linton in 1925, the Big Brother Movement (now BBM Ltd) sponsored the migration of more than twelve-thousand British children to Australia. Although the organisation's migration-sponsorship ceased in 1982, it continues to assist young Australians to fulfil their potential, including the running of an award scheme to allow talented young people to visit Britain in order to gain further experience in their chosen fields.
