| Background Information | The Association of British Drivers (ABD) is a campaigning organisation seeking to represent the interests of British drivers. Established by Brian Gregory, and volunteer-run, the Association seeks to combat what it sees as the excessive taxation and restriction placed upon the driving public, including the widespread use of speed cameras, and traffic policies justified by environmental concerns. Instead, it promotes better training of road users, and what it sees as a more sophisticated approach to traffic policing and public safety. Source: www.abd.org.uk |
