| Description | Save the Children's permanent archive, which dates from 1919 to almost the present day, is stored in a private storage facility at the organisation's headquarters. There are 1863 boxes holding general information including overseas and domestic documentation ranging from specific campaigns, budget information, correspondence between offices, and high profile visits, as well as artefacts including photographs, badges, and a table cloth. |
| Access Rights | Access to the catalogue is currently very limited due to the lack of a permanent archivist. Save the Children are going to permanently house their archive at Birmingham University (Special Collections), which will make it more accessible to researchers. Until this time, the organisation can be contacted for urgent requests for access only. |

A detailed description is available on the publisher's website. At least 7 branches of Save the Children have deposited their archives in local repositories. For example, the Gloucester branch has deposited its archive in Gloucestershire Record Office (1949-1970; an online catalogue is available) and the Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire Border branch in Hertfordshire Archives and Local Studies (minutes, 1944 - 1966; see online catalogue). There are also numerous minor references to Save the Children in A2A, AIM25 and in the Archive Hub. |
