The Friends of Israel Educational Foundation (FOIEF) is a charity promoting understanding of Israel in its Middle Eastern context. The charity organises educational events and activities, alongside facilitating links between specialists and professionals in Britain and Israel. The current name was adopted in 2003. (Charity no. 1095303, company no. 4392462.)  

The Foundation works closely with the Academic Study Group (ASG), formed in 1977 in order to facilitate and forge links between political and social scientists in the two countries. The Foundation also administers the Bridge programme, first launched in 1961, which sponsors promising British school-leavers to visit and study in Israel.
