The Common Ownership Association was established by Ernest Bader, following his disagreements with the direction being taken by ICOM, the Industrial Common Ownership Movement. The organisation did not take-off on its launch in 1973; an attempted relaunch in 1975, seeking Quaker support, was also unsuccessful. Source: NRA Handlist 27758.
