| Background Information | St Christopher's Fellowship is a London-based children's charity and housing association, providing a wide range of support, care and services to both children and young people, and vulnerable adults. The current organisation was formed through the 1967 merger of the Fellowship of St Christopher and Homes for Working Boys. The former body was established in 1929 by Reverend Prebendary Gage-Brown and his parishioner Constance Allen, in order to care for homeless and unemployed young men in London; the latter was established in 1870 by Tom Pelham, Arthur Kinnaird and Quintin Hogg, again to meet the problem of homelessness amongst boys and young men in London. Charity no. 207782, company no. 321509. Source: www.stchris.org.uk |
