| Background Information | The Children at Risk Foundation (CARF) UK is a child-protection charity (no. 1066396) working for Brazilian street-children. It is the UK arm of an initially Norwegian project, set up by Gregory Smith in 1992. It was established by social anthropologist Jonathan Hannay, after he had spent time working for the organisation in Brazil.
