| Background Information | The Universities and Colleges Christian Fellowship (UCCF), also known as the Christian Union Movement, is the umbrella body for evangelical Christian Unions in England, Scotland and Wales. Its membership is comprised of around 130 university Christian Unions, with the same number again in sixth-form and further-education colleges. The organisation has links with the research bodies Tyndale House and the Whitefield Institute, and the publisher IVP, as well as being a founder member of IFES, the International Fellowship of Evangelical Students. Formed as the Inter-Varsity Fellowship, to which the Evangelical Christian Union was affiliated, the body resulted from a split with what is now the Student Christian Movement.
