| Background Information | The Take Global Warming Seriously campaign seeks, in its own words, "to move the crisis of Global Warming to the very top of everyone's personal and political agendas; above increasing prosperity, health, education and the "War on Terror"." The campaign model is simply to encourage people to both commit to the campaign (which stresses the seriousness of global warming, claiming that it "is such a serious problem that it threatens the lives of a large proportion of British children and young adults alive today, and of countless others world-wide"), and encourage others they know to do so, who will in turn commit to the campaign, and so on, thus multiplying support for concerted action.
