| Background Information | CORE (Corporate Responsibility Coalition) Scotland is a network of civil society groups seeking "to ensure
that companies and public authorities meet their environmental and humanitarian responsibilities, and can be
held accountable for their social and environmental impact." As such, it is an off-shot of the London based Corporate Responsibility (CORE) Coalition, founded in 2001. CORE Scotland's founder members were Amnesty International Scotland, the Centre for Human Ecology, Friends of the Earth Scotland, Oxfam in Scotland, and Save the Children.
