| Background Information | The Bishopsgate Institute is a longstanding educational and cultural centre in East London. Founded with the goal of providing a library, hall and meeting rooms for those living and working locally, the Institute was established through endowments to the parish of St Botolph's, Bishopsgate, under the leadership of Rev William Rogers. Today the Institute offers a wide range of adult education courses and cultural events.
