| Background Information | Karma Nirvana refuge is a specialist South Asian women's project offering a bi-lingual service that provides a range of support to South Asian women and children experiencing domestic violence. Karma Nirvana particularly supports victims of "honour"-based violence. The organisation was set up by Jasvinder Sanghera following the suicide of her sister. The project runs a network of refuges for women and children in Derby and Stoke-on-Trent.
