| Background Information | In its own words, "European Dialogue works at local, national and international levels within the wider Europe to promote equality and social integration for excluded communities and vulnerable minorities." European Dialogue pursues this work, which encompasses human rights, social cohesion and the development of effective democracy and civil society, through four main programmes: Roma rights; Russia and the Caucuses; Balkan peace and integration; and the future of Europe. The organisation was founded with the help of Charter 88 and Liberty, and emerged out of the work of European Nuclear Disarmament (END), which ceased operating in the year European Dialogue was founded.
