The International Buddhist Relief Organisation (IBRO) was an idea conceived by Buddhist monk, Venerable W. Kassapa, who wanted to provide direct assistance to needy individuals, regardless of background, religion or status, anywhere in the world. Since then, IBRO has offered material support (such as wheelchairs, clothing, medicines, basic medical equipment, and spectacles) and financial support (especially to children) in countries such as Sri Lanka, Africa, Thailand, Malaysia, India, Zambia, United Kingdom, Kosovo and Romania.
