Since 1999, INDICT has worked to collect evidence for the prosecution of twelve senior members of the former Iraqi regime for war crimes and crimes against humanity with the aim of presenting this at an international tribunal (if established by the UN). So far, it has filed cases in the UK, Holland, Belgium, Switzerland and Norway, and had prepared cases for filing in Germany and several other European countries. The work of INDICT has been supported by, among others, Ann Clwyd MP, former US President Bill Clinton, former UK Prime Ministers Baroness Margaret Thatcher, John Major and Tony Blair.
