ACE Africa takes a holistic approach, working with multiple stakeholders, in order to "reduce the impact of HIV/AIDS on rural communities in East Africa [predominately Kenya and Tanzania] through health promotion, food security and nutritional assistance, education, community capacity building and support among the infected and affected." It also conducts international research with Duke and Tulane Universities in the US (and has consequently developed an internationally recognised Child Status index for measuring child wellbeing), and has support and technical functions in the UK (source: ace-africa.org)
