Established by a group of young South Africans based in London, Starfish Greathearts Foundation is an international development charity that seeks "to bring life, hope and opportunity to children in South Africa, who have been orphaned or made vulnerable by HIV/AIDS." It was officially launched in South Africa on April 27, 2002 (Freedom Day) and now has additional teams in Canada, the UK and US.
