| Background Information | ARP, the working name of ARP Charitable Services, describes itself as existing "to reduce the harm caused by problem alcohol and drug use. We provide client-focussed community and accommodation-based services, supporting people to achieve positive change and freedom from the harmful effects of alcohol and other drugs." The organisation was established by prison welfare officer Tim Cook, and psychiatrist Griffith Edwards, in order to serve homeless alcoholics in London.
