| Background Information | NACRO is a major crime reduction charity, campaigning for the reform of the criminal justice system, and running more than 200 projects in England and Wales, focussing on areas such as the resettlement of offenders, housing, education and employment, mental health, youth crime, and race and the criminal justice system. Originally concentrating on research and co-ordinating functions, NACRO was established as a successor body to the National Association of Discharged Prisoners Aid Societies.
