| Description | Cook notes that the ''Centre retains existing papers at its offices. These consist of minutes of the Executive Committee to date (and those of the preceding Great-Britain-China Committee); annual reports since 1974/75; the newsletter 'Britain-China' published since autumn 1974, correspondence files arranged by originator and subject, and copies of any publicity material. Financial records are not available. The archive is not yet presently organised for research and, in particular, access to correspondence is unlikely. The Centre receives a grant-in-aid from the Foreign Office, whose permission is necessary for any examination of the Executive Committee minutes; researchers should therefore understand that requests for access will be forwarded to the Foreign Office. Further enquires should be addressed to the Librarian.''
