Description

"The papers of Rotary International in Great Britain and Ireland are retained at the offices of its Secretariat. The material includes the minutes of the General Council (the Association's governing body) since its inception in 1911; copies of annual reports; a number of committee reports; financial records for the statutory period of seven years; and correspondence files. Non-routine correspondence is periodically disposed of, although material of a legal or constitutional nature may be retained" (source: Cook & Waller, Sources in Contemporary British History, vol 1, 1994 and C. Cook, The Routledge Guide to British Political Archives, 2006)

Access Rights

"Access to the archive is normally available to Rotarians or to persons engaged in academic research; owing to the limited facilities available, a fee may be required for those wishing to use a substantial amount of material. Interested persons should apply in the first instance to the Manager of the Communications Department" (source: Cook 2006)
