| Description | "Little of the archive of the Society has survived, but it is known to include minutes of the Council and AGM from 1957, and of the Executive Committee from 1969. No other administrative material has been kept. The principal reference source for the society is its journal, Trees (known as Trees and Life from 1957 to 1960 and again in 1965, and as Trees and New Earth from the year 1950); complete sets are available on deposit in the British Library and Cambridge University Library. The journal was first issued in 1936 and contains reports of all the society's activities (including Council meetings, conference and expeditions), Annual reports and financial statements, and branch reports. The British Library also holds a near complete set of Annual reports from 1934 and of copies of publications from 1948, and a full set of reports of the summer schools from 1938.
Administrative records are held by the society at its headquarters".

According to contacts with the International Tree Foundation in March 2007, the Foundation keeps a set of other records (material based around the Foundation's founder, letters, privately published and signed books, glass lantern slides from the early part of last century, etc.). |
