| Description | Phyllis Walker was President of Animal Concern (which was then known as The Scottish Anti-Vivisection Society) for many years and when she died a collection of anti-vivisection books, pamphlets, papers and other publications were donated to the Mitchell library. "Topics covered in the collection include cruelty to animals, animal legislation, farm animal welfare, the fur trade and the emotive subject of vivisection" (from the online presentation of the collection at the Mitchell Library). This collection is only made up of published material. |
