| Description | Some records of Pax (mostly copies) are contained in the Commonweal Collection archives donated to Bradford University's JB Priestley Library, Special Collection. The collection (ref. GB 0532 CWL PC) consists of a copy of David Hardisty's undergraduate dissertation (Peace Studies, University of Bradford): History of PAX 1936-1945. Photocopies of PAX Bulletin 1936-1971, a few issues missing. Photocopies of PAX minutes 1936-1969, some missing. Pax Christi documents 1960s and 1970s (including Bulletins of the English section and meeting minutes and further PAX documents). The Foreign Office: Political Departments: General Correspondence from 1906-1966 FO 371/102145 contains speeches made by the Pope to the Pax Christi Association in Rome, September 1952, and speeches made by the Pope to the College of Cardinals on Christmas Eve 1951 and to the Pax Christi Association (date: 1952). Further, the Home Office and Northern Ireland Office: Registered Files (NI Series) CJ 4/35 contains papers on the Pax Christi meeting with Minister of State, Home Office (Sharples) (date: 1971; Source Catalogue of The National Archives).
