| Description | This collection comprises the papers of Frederick Chesson, journalist and anti-slavery campaigner and Assistant Secretary of the Aborigines Protection Society. A letterbook of the Aborigines Protection Society covering 1856-61 (Ref. REAS/13) can be found in his papers, as well as several other items relating to the Aborigines Protection Society (see for example Frederick Chesson's diaries, REAS/11). A useful catalogue of that collection is available online and can be searched by keywords. |
