| Description | According to the NRA, the National Society for Clean Air and Environmental Protection retains its records at its headquarters. They consist of "c1929-75: cash books and journal, salary and wage books, minutes and complaints book, publications and printed material" (source: NRA)
The Society also houses the records of the Smoke Abatement League of Great Britain, which consist of "1911-29: minutes, notices book and letter books, publications and printed material" (source:NRA), and those of the Coal Smoke Abatement Society (1898-1930: minutes and agenda book, publications and printed material) (source:NRA).
In complement to the above, according to Chris Cook the papers held at the NSCA include "NSCA Council minutes from 1972 and Committee minutes from 1982. Yearbooks and annual reports are retained for the period since 1920; conference papers exist from 1905 onwards and workshop papers from 1972. An extensive series of subject files covers the NSCA's activities, on such topics as smoke control, acid rain, global warming, energy and waste management, and UK and EC legislation on environmental protection".
