| Background Information | The British Deaf Association (BDA) is the UK's largest deaf-run deaf organisation. The BDA campaigns for increased societal acceptance and integration of British Sign Language (BSL) and its users. Building on the acceptance of BSL as an official British language in 2003, the BDA wants BSL users to have equal rights and opportunities to access services, and for deaf children to be educated bilingually, in both BSL and English.
