Description"The archives of the Institution have been preserved at its headquarters. Surviving papers include minutes of the Committee of management and copies of the annual report from 1824; minutes of the principal Subcommittees (e.g. Finance) from 1851; the Lifeboat Journal from the date of its first publication in 1852, and records of the individual lifeboat services from 1850.
