| Background Information | "Conserve Africa Foundation (CAF) is a non-governmental organisation that aims to promote and implement sustainable development practices, policies and strategies in Africa through dissemination of information, training, education, research, advocacy and campaigning."
The Foundation is a product of the 1992 UN Earth Summit in Rio, and the subsequent conferences on the Convention on Biological Diversity, and was established as an international network of environmental activists. The UK arm, charity no. 1098921, was set up in order to facilitate the work of the network.
