| Background Information | The Corrymeela Community is a Christian community of reconciliation, working, in its own words, "to realise a society whose priorities are justice, mutual respect, the participation of all, concern for the vulnerable and the stranger, stewardship of resources, and care for creation."
Established by Ray Davey, the Community was initially based in Ballycastle, and now has an administrative centre in Belfast, and a further residential centre in Knocklayd. Increasingly, however, the work of the organisation is community-based. Source: www.corrymeela.org |
