| Background Information | The Council for the Advancement of Arab-British Understanding (CAABU) (aka The Council for Arab-British Understanding) was established against the back-drop of the Middle Eastern Six-day War, in order to develop greater understanding of, sympathy for, and links with the Arab world within British public life. In doing so, the Council undertakes lobbying and liaison with the political-diplomatic establishment in London and Brussels, as well as working with other concerned non-governmental organisations.
